Structural design work of this very small extension project was done to an already built house in a 4 perch land by Eng:Isuru S. Amarasena. Construction work was done by Eng:Prashan Ihalagama. Design was cosisted with a new car parking area, a bed room , balcony and water tank area. Though the project was a small one, design was somewhat complicated as the foundation area was interrupted by the service and sewer lines.

If a property already has a building that was built through permitted development rights in the past (e.g. extension that projects 3m from the original rear wall and flat roof with 2.8m at eaves) then can this be entirely rebuilt under current permitted development rights?
ReplyDeleteI suppose "NO".
DeleteIf you do any type of change to the existing structure, you need to take the permission from the relevant authority (eg:Municipal Council or Pradhesheeya sabha or Urban Development Authority) prior to construction works.
I like your post. It is good to see you verbalize from the heart and clarity on this important subject can be easily observed..
